Crop Spraying

We have four New Holland tractors fitted with Scorgie sprayers which are ideal for the terrain around Perthshire and Angus.  As agricultural spraying specialists we pride ourselves on being able to provide a timely and professional service.

We have invested in a fleet of New Holland tractors with front and back tanks, Scorgie booms at 28 metres, GPS, auto-shutoff and variable geometry. We have also retained one of our traditional 24 metre sprayers with a saddle tank design which still have a role to play in providing additional spraying capacity at extra busy times or where there is a need to travel very light.

To avoid soil compaction and deep ruts, we use wide flotation, VF tyres during the autumn/spring spraying season. This combined with the low weight of the tractors makes an ideal low-ground pressure sprayer. Using a tractor and sprayer system enables us to take with us our own water supply using 6,500 litre bowsers.

All our sprayers are tested annually through the National Sprayer Testing Scheme (NSTS) and all our sprayer operators are fully qualified, hold an appropriate NPTC certificate of competence and are members of NRoSO (National Register of Sprayer Operators), which requires continuing professional development and ongoing training. We adhere to guidance set out in the Code of Practice for using plant protection products in Scotland.
